It’s finally time for Round Two of Alphabethon! For the very first round of Alphabethon we used the letter A. For the second round we are going to be using the letter B. If you are not familiar with Alphabethon and how it works, let me tell you a little bit about it. Alphabethon is a readathon that I decided to create one day when no readathons were going on at the present moment and I was really in the mood for a readathon and reading sprints. ( Also, I have really wanted to create my own for quite some time now.) You can see the original post for Alphabethon by clicking on the above banner.
HOW IT WORKS
The purpose of Alphabethon Readathon is to read the alphabet. For the very first round of Alphabethon we started with the letter A. There were a few ways to participate. You could choose to read either book titles that began with the letter A, or Authors first or last names that began with the letter A, or a combination of all three. This is a very laid back readathon and I try not to make it too difficult so everyone can participate. The entire point of a readathon is to have fun and read as much as possible.
For this round of Alphabethon we will be continuing with the letter B. Create your TBR by choosing books with titles that begin with the letter B. If you prefer you can choose to read authors whose first or last name begin with the letter B. Or, combine all three. It’s up to you. 🙂
PUT THE DATES IN YOUR CALENDAR!
The Second Round of Alphabethon is going to run from June 19th-June 25th. Monday-Sunday. Just go by your own time zones…so whenever the clock reads 12 a.m. on June 19th until 11:59 p.m. on June 25th.
SPRINTS AND HOSTS
There will be reading sprints on Twitter. The twitter handle for reading sprints is @alphabethon. Click the image above to be taken to the Alphabethon page on Twitter. At this time I am the only host and one running reading sprints. I will try to host as many sprints throughout the readathon as I can. I have had one other person show some interest in helping with readathons. I will be contacting them to see if they would like to help host some sprints. That possible host will be @KayteSays. I AM looking for other sprint hosts as well. If you would like to help, just leave me a comment below or contact me on Twitter, Instagram, or by email – all places where I am currently active – and I will get back to you.
PRIZES
One random winner who posts their tbr photo on Twitter and tags @alphabethon and uses the hashtag #alphabethon will be chosen to win an amazon gift card for $20.00. Don’t use Twitter?
