Alphabethon: Round Four
Hello my lovely bookaholics! It’s time for Round Four of Alphabethon! I am so excited to read and host sprints with all of you! Thanks to everyone who joined in for the last round of Alphabethon. I had a great time with all of you and I hope you all had a great time as well. 🙂
This round of Alphabethon you can expect to see all the usual co-hosts and a few more new co-hosts have joined in. We will try and make Round 4 of Alphabethon as fun as we can for you and promise there will be plenty of sprinting. There will be no set sprinting schedule. As usual, hosts will jump on the @alphabethon Twitter account and take turns hosting sprints throughout each day of the readathon whenever we can. There may be some rare moments where we all happen to be busy and there are no sprints so feel free to host your own sprints with others using the hashtag #alphabethon. Make sure to follow all the hosts as well as the @alphabethon page, so you don’t miss a single sprint.Â

Round Four of Alphabethon will take place the week of October 23rd – October 29th. It will start on Monday at 12 a.m. and end on Sunday at 11:59 p.m.Â
Enter to Win a Prize!Â
As per usual, I will be giving away a $25 amazon gift card to one lucky Alphabethoner for Round Four! All you have to do to be eligible is post a picture of your D TBR (either on Twitter or Instagram) and use the hashtag #alphabethondtbr That’s it. Easy peasy! PLEASE be sure to use this hashtag for your tbr photos entry instead of #alphabethon. This will make it easier for me to enter everyone. It gets kind of hard to find everyone’s entries when #alphabethon tag is being used during sprints, and other tweets.Â
How This Works
For those of you who haven’t participated yet and don’t know how this readathon works it’s really simple. For the first round of Alphabethon we started with the letter A, the second round was letter B, the third round was letter C, and for THIS round, we will be using the letter D. The idea of this readathon is to read the alphabet. So for this round we will choose book titles that begin with the letter D. and read as many as you can during the week. If you are having a hard time building a D Title TBR, you can choose to go another route. You can choose to read books where the author’s last name begins with D. If you are still having a difficult time, then read books by authors whose first name starts with D. If you really want to shake things up, then do a mix of all three. I tried to make it as easy as possible for everyone to be able to participate. The whole point of a readathon is to get a lot of reading done, have fun, and meet other readers.Â
Reading Challenges for Round 4 of Alphabethon
I had so much fun trying to complete the reading challenges that I decided to add last round, that I decided to bring back challenges for this round as well. All of you did such a good job completing all or most of the challenges! They may be a little tricky this Round.Â
*You don’t have to do the challenges if you don’t want to. These are just for fun. Feel free to complete as many or as little as you want.Â
The Seven Challenges are…
          Â
Read a book with two D’s. (Title, Author’s first name, or last name begin with D)
Read a book with a MC (main Character) Â whose name starts with D.Â
Read a book with a D setting. ( Town, City, State, etc. begins with D)
Read a book that has an object on the front or back Cover that begins with D. (words beginning with D do not count)
Read a book over 400 pages
Read a book under 200 pages. Â
Read a Horror book (since this round is so close to Halloween)
