Synopsis:
Breanna Mitchell is on her way to a relaxing vacation at the ocean. Maybe she’ll even have a beachside fling to help her get over a recent breakup.
But when a tropical storm makes her destination hotel uninhabitable, a chance encounter at continental breakfast delivers a fabulous option—with a catch. She and her friends can stay at a privately-owned, three-story oceanfront home—if she pretends to be the girlfriend of the owner’s heartbreaker grandson, Ethan. Since he won’t even be there, how hard could it be?
Everything is going swimmingly until Bree drinks too much wine and regales the family with romantic tales about her relationship with Ethan. His adorable brother Adam gets suspicious. His marriage-minded grandma gets engagement fever. The beautiful woman next door gets teary-eyed.
And then, Ethan unexpectedly arrives. Suddenly Bree is about to get everything she’s ever wished for—but is it what she really wants?
My Review:
I absolutely adored Fresh Brewed! I loved this book even more than the first book in the series. I had so much fun reading this one. I loved the setting , the characters, the cover, EVERYTHING! This story takes place in Summer in the middle of a tropical storm. With Summer coming to an end and Hurricane Hermine, the timing to read this was perfect! This book would make for a perfect beach read. Perfect chic lit.
All the girls are back from the first book in the series. This time the story focuses on finding Breanna love. The girls are on vacation and makes for an ultimately fun read. This one was more of a romantic comedy, whereas the first book was more of a romantic mystery/adventure. I read this book very quickly. The chapters were the perfect length. Not too short, not too long. The story flowed very well and there was never a moment where I didn’t know what was going on. It was such an enjoyable, fun, cute book to read. It put me in a good mood and made me smile the whole time I was reading it. Drinks, food, dancing, the beach…what else could you ask for?
It may have been a wee bit predictable, but maybe that’s just because I’ve read too much romance in my life. Everything that I predicted would happen in the story did. I am glad that it did though. I wouldn’t have wanted the story to go any other way.
If you enjoy cute, happy romance stories this one is for you. Kick back with a glass of wine, some snacks, and a comfy couch and you have yourself a perfect Friday night.
I am really excited for book three. I am looking forward to seeing another one of the girls meet her man, and see what kind of twist the next story will have. This series has been a lot of fun to read. The second book was even better than the first, so I know I will not be disappointed with book three.
