Summer Blog Promo Tour: Week Six

1. If I don’t review a book right after I finish reading it, there’s a much larger chance I just won’t review it.

   I used to be really good about reading a book, finishing a book, and then writing my thoughts while they’re still fresh in my mind. That isn’t the case anymore. Now I usually just pick up another book right after, and it’s way harder for me to get to that review. Someone give me motivation!

2. Sometimes half of book blogging is finding the perfect gif.

   Especially if I’m on Twitter. I love using gifs. It’s very apparent if you follow me, hahaha. And I definitely don’t use gifs in every post, but sometimes you just need something to express your emotions with more than words, you know? And sometimes it takes forever and an hour to find the perfect gif to express that.

3. I’m really bad at commenting on blogs.

   I follow a ton of blogs, and I scroll through my Bloglovin’ feed almost every day. I read a lot of posts from other bloggers in the community. But I bet so many of them will never know that because I’m the worst at commenting on their page and letting them know how much I liked the post. I’m trying to be better at this!

4. Sometimes I wonder how much more time I’d spend reading if I didn’t blog.

   Book blogging takes a lot of time, and sometimes I wonder if I’d be better off not doing it. I mean, wouldn’t I get through more books? But then I remember that last year I read the most books in one year than I ever have before…I’m not sure how that works out, but I think somehow blogging motivates me to read more, even if I’m spending a lot of time not reading and writing posts.

5. I love meeting new bloggers.

   One of my favorite things about the book blogging community is that there are always new people joining us! There are always new voices to be heard and new opinions to be shared. And that’s pretty great, isn’t it?

6. I often suffer from blog envy.

   I’m really trying to work on this, but I suffer from blog envy. I see other’s designs or hear about other’s stats, and I get sad for a little because I feel like my blog isn’t as good. But I know that I’m just setting my blog up to impossible standards. I’m working on this!

7. I’ve read less classics since I started blogging.

   I’m an English major, so I used to read a ton of classics, even outside of my classes. That’s changed since I’ve started blogging. I often will choose new releases instead of that classic I’ve been eyeing for years. I have so many good ones that I still need to read, so I really should change this!
