Bout of Books Update: Day Four
Hey everyone! Bout of Books is halfway over. How are you all doing with your reading goals? Have you been able to complete any challeges?
Today’s Daily Challenge is Book in a Song provided by Janey Canuck. For this I chose the book I am currently reading: Haven by Katherine Bogle. The things that the main character is going through right now, and most of the book, really, reminds me of Bring Me To Life by Evanescence. I can hear the song playing in my head in the background as she is going through some torture at this moment in the book. I even think the cover reminds me of the song. It just fits very well with this story.
My reading hasn’t been going so smoothly this time around. I have had a lot of distractions this go around. I haven’t written any updates for Bout of Books until now because I haven’t had much progress to give you all. In the first four days of the readathon I have only been able to read 54% of an e-book and 6 pages of a physical book. Today is Day Five and I have not read at all yet today. I had some things I needed to get done. I am hoping now that I got all of those things out of the way that I can just sit down and read for the rest of the day…but we will see how that goes. Life loves to bring interruptions. At this point in the readathon I am just hoping that I am able to finish reading the two books I am currently reading. I will be happy if I can just manage to accomplish that. If I can read more than that in the next two days I will be ecstatic!
Here are the two books that I am currently reading at the moment:
I can definitely relate to what you say: Life bring interruptions, lots and lots of interruptions. I think it’s awesome that you’re reading, whether it’s six books or six pages. I’m rooting for you!
It sure does. Keeps things interesting, to say the least. Thanks Sally, I hope to read more for the next Bout of Books coming in January.
